Tautimai ki a Ngā Manu Nui. In the Ngā Manu Nui learning space we teach Year 2-3 learners with a collaborative team approach. We are passionate about providing a programme that supports our tamariki to be actively involved their learning journey, creating experiences and supporting children as they add to their Knowledge, Character and Relationships Kete.
In Ngā Manu Nui we offer a play based learning approach through our ‘Exploration’ programme where the children’s own areas of interest provide a weekly/fortnightly Learning Context (topic focus). Our tamariki have opportunities to drive their own learning by engaging with resources and activities that are chosen to stimulate curiosity, encourage teamwork and to deepen our learners understanding of the world around them.
We actively encourage ākonga to be risk takers and to be respectful. Learning is a journey and a process, and in Ngā Manu Nui we guide our learners as they move towards taking greater responsibility for managing themselves, their belongings and our shared environment. Through the Three Kete we support our tamariki emotionally, physically and academically to be the very best that they can be.
